Andrew Kingdom has spent much of his life exploring the outdoors. Growing up in the Scout Association through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, Andrew would begin his training and love for the outdoor along with completing all 3 levels of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
After graduating from the University of Lincoln, Andrew would find his passion for the outdoors, slowly building his skills through practice and painful error. He has been fortunate to have had opportunities to develop himself as a navigator and leader in Lowland Terrain with the highlight being the civilian instructor helping in the teaching of the Land Navigation Advisors course at the Royal School of Military Survey.
His instructional experience as meant he has worked with a wide variety of different students with different abilities. Ranging from children, inexperienced adults and even to the public sector including Search and Rescue and armed forces, Andrew is always willing to teach anyone willing to learn.
Always keen to keep busy, Andrew is an active member of Buckinghamshire Search and Rescue. Here he helps the team in its work of searching for missing people when called upon. Here he operates as a Licensed Search Technician, Team Leader, Search Planner and as one of the teams instructors and assessors.
When not teaching, he works as a full time Professional Health and Safety Advisor. Andrew can be found on the archery range when he is not trekking round the Chilterns or a good mountain further afield.
