FAQ

What NNAS course is suitable for me?

The course you choose is dependent upon your past experience and what ability you want to be able to do. Please see our Realm Hiker Services page via the About bottom at the top of the page for more details. If you are still unsure, please contact us and we will work with you to determine what is the best course for you

How do I pay for courses/services?

Once you have chosen which course/service you wish to do , you will need to email us your interest either through this website on the contact us page or through the book the NNAS website. Once done, you will be added as a person interested and will be contacted with joining instructions including how to pay.

Please note your place on the course is not guaranteed till you have paid for the course before hand.

What equipment will I need

On NNAS courses, we will provide your maps and compasses that you will need for the course. The only thing you need to bring for our training or walks is your own outdoor kit, suitable to be outside in the conditions. If you are unsure please do not be afraid to contact us

What if I fail the course

As part of the course design, we ensure time is available to allow 1-1 development throughout. Should you fail the asessment, there is time on the course for a resit as we understand that assessment pressure can impact a students ability. If more time is needed, we in Realm Hiker will rebook with students to help them develop and resit with the aim of passing our qualifications

Can I bring my dog on the course?

No. While being able to take your 4 legged companion to the great outdoors is a wonderful experience for both, they are a distraction for the student. We also can not ensure their safety from other dogs and their owners who are in control of their animal so for the safety of the animal and fairness to the students, dogs are no allowed.
